The Moving Writers Community is designed to be a place for reading and writing teachers to dig deeper and more authentically with one another than the Moving Writers blog can do. It’s a place where I share the real life of my daily classroom (including occasional confessions about how absolutely horribly my Macbeth unit went this year, for instance), monthly reading and writing unit plans, and answer questions. It’s a place where we share ideas, ask questions and vent as we talk in our community chat each month. For me, it’s a refuge and an encouragement.
I wanted to tell you what we’re up to this summer in case you could use a similar balance of recharging and inspiration. Each month this summer, members of the Moving Writers Community will get TWO of my professional development webinars from the Moving Writers vault free! (I shared the first in this series last week, for a total of 7 webinars between now and September 1!)
Additionally, I’ll be recapping the units and resources I’ve shared so that you can have one-stop access to all my writing units, all my reading units, and all of my resources for planning instruction.
Membership into our little community is $5/month or $50/year.
I am SO EXCITED to share this with some of my favorite teachers this summer! It’s a low-key, at-your-own-pace chance to catch up learning that you always want to do, but never have the time (or funds!) for during the year and room to chat with your colleagues across the globe!
