Session 1: Mentor Text-Driven Unit Planning — a primer on a planning process using mentor texts to drive instruction that will work for every single writing unit you ever teach.
Session 2: Plan a Unit with Rebekah — our process is put in motion as participants help Rebekah plan a unit of writing study for her class.
Session 3: Plan YOUR OWN Unit with Rebekah — this is where it gets REALLY good. Participants will complete a questionnaire about a mentor text-driven writing unit they wish to plan. Then, Rebekah will get to work pulling mentor texts. We’ll meet one-on-one for 30 minutes to talk through the mentor texts and begin laying out your writing unit!
