Coaching Call with Rebekah: Nonfiction Reading Strategies

Over the last year or so, I’ve been thinking about how I can do more to help teachers.

A one-day workshop or webinar is great, but I’m also convinced that the most important conversations we have are individual, one-on-one, and speak into the specifics of our lives.

So, I started offering private coaching sessions just to the Moving Writers Community.

And now, this year, I want to share some of them with you. Because while we learn the most when we’re one-on-one, we can also learn a ton from other teacher’s questions, concerns, problems, and shoe-pebbles.

Today, I’m sharing a coaching session I recently had with Constance, a teacher in Shanghai. She feels confident teaching her students fiction comprehension strategies, but nonfiction comprehension strategies are a different story altogether.

Watch or listen to our conversation! If you’d like access to all the resources I created for Constance, consider becoming a part of the Moving Writers Community for $5/month or $50/year! Moving Writers Community members will always receive all the resources I create for the coaching call of the month!

I’d love to know what you think and if this type of resource is helpful to you!

Next month, I’ll share my conversation with Dawn about making the qualitative data we collect about readers and writers in English class more quantitative for students with IEPs and 504s!

Want a coaching call of your own?

You can always register for a coaching session (for you, your grade level , or department!) by clicking the links on this document. New coaching sessions open up on the first of each month! Also, members of the Moving Writers Community have the opportunity to submit their questions to get picked for a free coaching session like the one I recorded with Constance!

I’d love to chat with you about your classroom!
